Seattle MESA Teacher Training

This training will focus on the introduction to, and initial preparation for Seattle MESA Spring event, MESA Day. The training will also facilitate a discussion on classroom management issues and tips, as well as updated post-secondary advising. Hands-on activities will be mixed in to the day to highlight STEM concepts and learning objectives.

Training Details

  • October 19th, 2024, 9:30am-2:30pm
  • Participants may earn up to 5 STEM clock hours for full participation
  • The following standards for OSPI Clock Hours will be addressed:
    • National Board Professional Teaching Standards
      • Teachers are members of learning communities
    • Cultural Competency, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Standards
      • Shared Expertise
      • Responsiveness
    • Career & Technical Standards for CTE Teachers
      • Knowledge of learners and their development in social contexts

      • Knowledge of subject matter and curriculum goals

      • Pedagogical knowledge for career and technical education teacher candidates

  • Clock hours will be awarded after the training concludes. Please allow 2 weeks for processing.
