Programming for Inclusive Preschool Classrooms to Support the Needs of All Children 2019

Inclusion includes creating positive, educational experiences for children with diverse abilities to learn in a setting that enhances their strengths and supports the needs of every child. This workshop for early childhood providers will explore the revised Building Blocks framework for supporting children with special needs in inclusive early learning settings, including the first three tiers – quality early childhood programming, curricular modifications and adaptations, and embedded learning opportunities. After participating in discussions and engaging activities, participants will be able to:
•    identify quality, inclusive preschool classroom indicators
•    make modifications and adaptations to support learning for children of all abilities
•    successfully embed instruction throughout classroom activities
This workshop is designed for participants to engage in activities with children at the Experimental Education Unit and have an action plan upon completion.
