2024 Climate Teacher Educator Design Institute

Register for Clock Hours for the Institute

July 9-11th, 2024

Educators will learn about, and from, classroom examples of K-12 STEM lessons to think about and plan their own lessons around climate change. They will receive training on how to support other educators in understanding the science behind climate change and how to teach for climate justice within their own context. Educators will be challenged to design learning opportunities in partnership with community based organizations studying climate change, or creating solutions. The learning in this course asks educators to sink into the science and mathematics of climate change and then to look for solutions (engineering) the address these problems.

19 STEM clock hours are available for full participation in the Institute.

Please note that registration for clock hours closes on the last day of the institute, July 11th at 12:59pm.
