About the Early Education Fellowship
Cultivate Learning at the University of Washington’s College of Education is excited to launch the Early Education Fellowship for Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging.
This program aims to foster a sense of belonging in school for both children and their families and to increase access to equitable and excellent teaching and learning.
Program Overview
This 12-month fully funded program is committed to serving Washington state principals, directors, assistant superintendents, superintendents, and those in similar roles by:
- Explaining early educational research and data
- Promoting effective leadership skills focused on inclusion and equity
- Showing leaders how to support the workforce, family partnerships, and inclusive environments for all students (ages 3 to 10)
By identifying, nurturing, and supporting effective leadership practices for those who oversee the quality of early education, this program will focus on research, data, and application in three areas:
- Inclusive and Equitable Practices
- Family Engagement and Partnership
- Health and Wellness for leaders, staff and communities
Leaders also can visit and engage with demonstration schools across Washington state that lead the way with inclusive supports and equitable practices.
Clock Hours
Up to 63 Leadership Clock Hours are available for full participation in the fellowship.
Clock hours will be awarded in June at the end of the fellowship. Please allow 2 weeks for processing.
