Leading for Equity is designed to engage practicing teachers who are alumna of the UW Seattle Teacher Residency in a collaborative learning community that supports their growth in becoming antiracist practitioners and colleagues. Participants will engage in reading, reviewing cases, and working together to explore biases and assumptions and develop actions towards supporting each other as well as other emerging and practicing teachers.

Learning Objectives:

1) build a collaborative learning community

2) develop understandings about what it means to be an antiracist co-conspirator

3) extend community engagement to the greater alumni community

Course Details:

• Will meet synchronously on 4/21, 5/19, 6/16, 6/29, 7/7, 7/21, and 8/5/2022
• 4pm-6pm through 6/16
• 9am-11am 6/29-8/5
• 14 clock hours
