Meet the instructor:

Shannon is an Education Specialist at the Haring Center for Inclusive Education. She received her Masters of Education in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and holds a State of Alabama dual teaching certification in general education and special education.

Shannon’s work focuses on creating inclusive early childhood classrooms in low-income areas through the use of effective teacher coaching.

Prior to joining the Haring Center team, Shannon worked as a special education preschool teacher for 5 years. Shannon has experience supporting students in community-based preschool programs, working as part of the preschool special education referral and IEP team, and working as a preschool special education classroom teacher.
